Year 7 student Kyron, decided to make a chocolate mould as her mechatronics project. She designed her mould in a sculpting program and then sent it to the printers. Today, we used the vacuum form machine to create her mould, though during the process we came to a minor problem. Her heart was printed in PLA plastic, so some of the plastic on the exterior of the 3D print melted. Eventually octagons began to show on her mould as the printer filled the inside of the print with octagons. It took a while to seperate the 3D model and the mould though eventually we seperated them.
